Description
I've had somewhat of a difficult time this week, so I decided to give myself something to refocus on and relax some. This is what that "something"was. Don't know if it helped me mentally but I did enjoy painting this beauty. Now, I know this isn't what you would describe as the normal "Darkiplier". This happens to be my own version of Markiplier's evil half. I have drawn him before but always in my cartoon type style, so I wanted to try my hand at painting him more realistically in Photoshop. Mind you, this is my first attempt at doing so.

Overall Vision Originality
Technique ImpactThis is a really well done done painting! I love the color choices, the shadowing is done perfectly, and it really gives a dark menacing vibe. There are however a few critiques I might give. Specifically about the nose.
For the nose, I'm confused about what you were trying to do with the concaves on the ridge line. Maybe it was to try and create a more demonic look but for me personally it's distracting from the overall feel and detail of the piece. Another critique would be the blood on the hands, it looks wispy and not liquid enough. There's not enough highlighting or drops leaking down the arms to make me think it's actually blood and not dried paint.
That being said, I really do love this fanart and I can't wait to see more from you (Also just as I was about to send this I noticed the reflection of Dark's soon to be victim in the knife which was a great detail to add!)
